The UBports Foundation released Ubuntu Touch OTA-10 today as the tenth stable update to their Ubuntu Touch mobile operating system based on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (Focal Fossa) for supported Linux devices.
Coming almost three months after Ubuntu Touch OTA-9, the Ubuntu Touch OTA-10 release introduces support for the Rabbit R1 device and the new Ubuntu Touch upgrader, which allows users to upgrade to the long-anticipated Ubuntu Touch 24.04-1.0 release, based on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, once it’s released.
This release also adds preliminary Nix support, improves SetBitrate() calculation in the H.264 encoder, improves Bluetooth support to no longer allow autopair with Nissan Connect devices, improves Mir screencast calls with mutex, and adds UHD format support and updates AVC level types.
Ubuntu Touch OTA-10 is rolling out now to all supported devices, including the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1, F(x)tec Pro1 X, Fairphone 3, 3+, and 4, Google Pixel 3a and 3a XL, JingPad A1, Lenovo Tab M10 HD 2nd Gen WiFi / LTE, OnePlus 5 and 5T, OnePlus 6 and 6T, OnePlus Nord N10 5G and N100, and Rabbit R1.
